Race Set-up

The event will start on Friday, March 4th with the first meeting of all participants in a beach hotel in Negombo and will end on Saturday, March 12th near Sigiriya.

The race will start 100km northwest of Colombo and end at the top of the world heritage site, Sigiriya Rock.

We will pick all participants from Colombo International Airport, before transporting them to the assigned hotel at one of most beautiful beaches in Negombo, Sri Lanka.

The race course is projected to be 210km held in 6 stages.

Participants are required to bring the mandatory equipment required for the race, their personal belongings and food supply sufficient for 6 days (see attached equipment list). Do note that GlobalLimits only provides the camp infrastructure and cold/ warm water at the camp sites.

During the race week, all participants will stay in the same camp. Tents and toilet facilities are available at every camp (less mattresses).

Each participant has to carry his/ her mandatory racing equipment during the course. The list of mandatory equipment has been reduced to the minimum!

Food and personal belongings packed in one bag, not exceeding 10kg in weight, will be transported from camp to camp.

Personal belongings (one bag per person) that are not needed by participants during the race week, will be transported directly from the hotel in Negombo to the hotel near Sigiriya.

The award ceremony which includes a buffet-style dinner will take place in a 5*****hotel near Sigiriya on Friday night, March 11th. In the same hotel all participants will stay overnight.

On Saturday, March 12th, participants may either leave on their own, stay for an extension program (see recommended offers) or choose the complementary transport to Colombo International Airport.
