Breaking News - Race Report Stage 1 - Cambodia

The 8th GlobalLimits Cambodia - The Ancient Khmer Path - started today with runners from 18 countries. The start is located in a local Buddhist temple in the Kamphong Thom province. Local monks blessed our runners before the race started and in return, we pay respect to the country and listened Cambodia’s national anthem „Majestic Kingdom“.

We also celebrate the birthday of our Japanese runner, Mr. Tada Shinichi.

In this stage, our runners will run through quiet local villages, lotus ponds and spend the evening in local traditional family houses. The weather is on our side with light wind and blue sky.

In today‘s 33km stage, oPeter Osterwalder from Switzerland finished first in 2:42hrs just 21 seconds ahead of Taiwanese Tommy Chen and another 40 secconds behind Frank Joghansen from Denmark.

Fasted female today was Protugese runner Ana Filipa Castela in an impressive 3:20hrs. Second was Ruth Viane from Belgim and third Alison Graham from the USA.

Tomorrows 2nd stage of 36km starts at 6am local time
