Race Report Stage 3 - Cambodia

Todays long stage of 62,4km guided the runners from the Preah Khan temple to the Beng Mealea temple, which served as a setting for the Indiana Jones movie. The finishline was set inside the temple complex.
The first 30km they had to go through the muddy and demanding Cambodian jungle before running the remaining 32km on a flat trail almost all time in the burning sun.

Another great day for the leaders in the male and female category. Xavi Marina from Spain finished in 6:46hrs, while Isabelle Sauve finished in 7:21, what was also the 2nd overall rank. 2nd man today was 5 time Cambodia starter Stan Lee who obviously made use of his course experience as 3 time starter Teresa Lam did. She finished 6th overall today and second woman.
Michael Traub came in 3rd man and Maria Rotger 3rd woman.
In the overall ranking. In the male category Xavi Marina is in a comfortable lead ahead of Michael Traub and now Stan Lee.
No changes In the female category Seeing Isabelle Sauve still in lead, followed by Teresa Lam and Maria Rotger.
Impressive performance today by Mario Machado from Portugal running a constant pace from start to finish and finished 13th overall.

Tonight runners stay in local village houses directly opposite the temple complex. Tomorrows 4th stage of 30k brings the runners up to the Kulen Waterfalls.
