BREAKING NEWS -Race Report Stage 5 - Cambodia

After resting by the flowing river of the Kulen Waterfalls, our runners started the second last stage with a gradual downhillhill run with refreshing panoramic view of the Siem Reap province. After running through paddy fields, jungles ,local villages and climbing the Phnom Boak they finally arrived at camp 5, a local primary school. Everyone in the race did very well today as the last runner arrived by 1630.

Colin Harper started the stage with a high speed on the first 12km downhill and came in first at checkpoint 1 and finally finished the stage in 4th. Samuel Castela won the stage with 3mins ahead of Tommy Chen. 3rd today was Peter Schlieder from Germany who is getting faster every day.

Teresa Lam from Hongkong showed her impressive downhill skills and overtook the other woman and wins the stage today and keeps her fourth overall ranking in the female category.

The overall ranking in the male and female category remains the same with Tommy Chen from Taiwan in lead. Samuel Castela from Portugal keeps his second place followed by Tomas Sundman from Denmark. In the female category, Ruth Viane from Belgium remains first ahead of Sharon Harper from England Joyce Forier from the US also gives a great performance and finished second today and keeps her3rd overall position.

Stay tuned for the final stage tomorrow when runners will run through Angkor temples and finish the race inside the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Angkor Wat temple.
